Ways to Save and Find Inexpensive and Beautiful Flower Girl Dresses!

We have all seen her…the flower girl who can’t handle her dress. It’s itchy…it’s heavy and chances are…it was expensive! In many bridal shops, flower girl dresses can cost just as much as a bridesmaid gown!

My number one tip that is embedded in most of my posts is that avoiding the “bridal” label will help you save money and find the perfect items for your big day…and flower girl dresses are no exception!

Your best bet for beautiful, inexpensive flower girl dresses that a flower girl will WANT to wear is to look at your department stores starting now through the summer. With Easter and Communion season approaching, there are many beautiful and inexpensive dresses available for toddlers-girls sizes (many available in both!). You also can use coupons, free shipping offers, easy returns, discount codes and of course Ebates to save even more on these dresses. If you wait until the Communion season is over, you can also find many flower girl worthy Communion dresses for less than $20!

The flower girl dresses were only $30! I found them at Macys in the spring section. They were comfortable and the girls wore them again after the wedding!

My favorite stores for flower girls dresses are Macys, Kohls and Kmart/Sears. Most of these dresses are less than $50 BEFORE coupons! That’s more than 50% off the typical bridal salon flower girl dress! Plus they are usually lighter and more comfortable too….and at least it won’t hurt so much if your flower girl decides to put pajamas on right after the ceremony =)

My favorite designers for inexpensive flower girl dresses are Bonnie Jean, Princess Faith, American Princess, Rare Editions and Jayne Copeland. Jayne Copeland dresses are great if you want the flower girls to incorporate color into the ceremony and not be a mini version of the bride. Bonnie Jean and Rare Editions both offer plain white dresses and dresses that are either colorful or have some details in color. The possibilities for a dress under $50 are plenty!

Here are some of my current picks!

Macys (6% cash back at Macys through Ebates)

This Jayne Copeland dress is only $57.99 (at time of post) BEFORE coupons! Plus it is in the 2014 wedding trend color…blush pink! (2014 Wedding Trends Coming Soon!)

This is a Bonnie Jean and one of my favorites for a spring or summer wedding. The detail is beautiful and the price is nice…$49.99 (for big girls) and $46.99 (for little girls) at the time of post BEFORE discounts!

More on the pricey side, this Rare Editions dress comes in at $69.99 BEFORE discounts.

Kohls (6% Cash Back through Ebates)

Kohls has an AWESOME return policy in case you need to switch sizes! It is easy to return online items in the store. You also can earn Kohls Cash on these purchases during special promotion periods!

This American Princess Gown is only $46.40 for girls and $36.40 for toddlers BEFORE discounts at time of post!

This American Princess dress is also $46.30 BEFORE discounts and is available in the 2014 trending color…blush!

This Princess Faith dress is simple and elegant. It is $56.00 for the big girl sizes BEFORE discounts and also available in ivory.

This American Princess toddler dress is only $36.40 BEFORE discounts and available in older girl sizes for a fraction more.

Brides Against Breast Cancer- Find a discounted gown for you and support a great cause too!

I just found out about this awesome group called Brides Against Breast Cancer. Brides can donate their used gowns to the charity. Many designers also donate new gowns too!  The charity then sells the gowns at affordable prices for to brides through their nationwide tour and out of the boutique in Sarasota, FL. They tour with over 100 nationwide bridal shows! Gowns are priced between $99-$799 but can be valued at up to $3,900!

The revenue is used to provide support and services to children and adults who are impacted by cancer. This organization is affiliated with the Center for Building Hope in Sarasota, FL which provides support, programs and services to people with cancer and their families.

The best part is that not only can you score a beautiful, gently used or new designer gown for a fraction of the cost but you will also be helping others! After you say, “I Do”, you should consider donating your own gown to the cause. You will receive a tax deduction as well.

Want to keep your wedding dress for your future children? No problem! You can also participate in their “I DO” Campaign. Just text BRIDES to 85944 to make a $10 donation. Be sure to respond YES to confirm your donation.

We Beer Budget Brides may need to pinch our pennies but a little giving goes a long way for us too!
